Twitter Video Downloader retrieves public video metadata without an account. We do not proxy video files.

## Links and metadata

Your browser validates the tweet link. It may keep it in the address bar’s `#post=` fragment, which stays in browser history and is not part of a page request. The browser sends only the numeric post ID in a POST body to our metadata endpoint. Our server requests metadata from FxEmbed at api.fxtwitter.com. That provider processes requests under its own policies; we cannot control its retention.

We do not store or log submitted URLs, post IDs, metadata bodies, or media. Download links open MP4 files directly on video.twimg.com. Twitter processes those media requests under its own policies.

## Page delivery and preferences

Public pages have no application session cookie. A small custom Plausible beacon records pageviews without setting cookies or loading a third-party tracker script. It sends the page path and referring site, with query strings and fragments removed. Entered Twitter/X links, post IDs and video URLs are not sent to analytics. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser. Hosting providers process ordinary request details such as IP addresses and page paths. The application records aggregate daily counts by page type for up to 90 days; those counts contain no submitted link, post ID, or IP address. Temporary rate limits use a hashed IP key and expire after a minute.
